How Can I Set Up Parental Controls on the Band App?

My child was invited to join a group on the Band app for school activities, and I’m not very familiar with how it works. Before allowing full access, I’d like to understand what privacy and safety settings are available. Does the Band app offer parental controls, or are there specific account settings I should adjust? Can I control messaging, notifications, or who can contact my child? Any advice from parents who’ve managed the Band app for their kids would be really helpful.

To set up parental controls on BAND, create your child’s account using an email you can monitor. Set the profile to private and join only approved groups. In Settings > Privacy, control who can message or invite them. Turn off location sharing if not needed. Regularly review posts and notifications, and discuss safe online behavior with your child.

To set up parental controls on BAND, create your child’s account using your email so you can monitor it. Set the group’s privacy to private and limit who can invite or message your child. Adjust profile visibility in Settings > Privacy. Turn off location sharing and supervise group chats. Discuss safe online behavior with your child regularly.

To set up parental controls on BAND, open the app, go to Settings, and select Supervision. Create a supervision code and share it with your child so their account can be linked to yours. Once connected, parents can monitor activity, see the groups their child joins, and limit access to public groups.
