How to know if someone blocked you on Instagram?

I’m trying to figure out if my kid has blocked me on Instagram. Are there any clear signs or tricks to check without asking him directly? I want to make sure I’m not just missing their posts or stories. Any tips would be really helpful!

To determine if someone blocked you on Instagram: - Try sending them a message, if it sends successfully, they haven't blocked your account. - Check their profile, if it loads normally, they haven't blocked you. - If you can see their posts in your feed but can't view their profile, it's possible they've muted you.

In Instagram, a person does not get a notification when someone blocks him or her. Symptoms include: you can no longer find their profile in search, old messages will still be there but profile picture will vanish, and you will not be able to see their posts and their followers. In case you go to their profile through a link and the message shows User not found, you can be blocked. Nevertheless, they might have disabled their account as well.

To tell if someone blocked you on Instagram, check their profile. If you can’t find them, see past messages—if their username appears but the profile is inaccessible, it’s a sign. You won’t see their posts or stories, and attempts to follow them fail. No notification is sent, so observation is key.

You can search the name of a potential Instagram blocker to know whether they blocked you. The profile does not show up or you might be blocked in case the profile does not appear or it writes: User not found. Their posts, stories, and follower list will not be in your view either. The account can be checked with another account that will confirm whether the profile has been created or not.
