How to Use Air Tag for Android Devices?

Hi everyone, I recently heard about using an air tag for android, but I’m a bit confused about how it actually works. I know AirTags are mainly designed for Apple devices, so is it possible to connect or track them with an Android phone? Are there any apps or alternative trackers that work better for Android users? I’d really appreciate a simple explanation or step-by-step guidance. Thanks in advance!

Apple AirTag is designed for iOS, but Android users can use it partially. You can scan a lost AirTag via NFC by tapping it with your Android phone, which opens a webpage showing contact info if the owner marked it lost. Full tracking requires an iPhone or iPad.

Apple AirTag is designed for Apple devices, so Android phones can’t fully use it for tracking. However, Android users can scan for nearby AirTags using the “Find My Device” app or NFC by tapping the AirTag to the phone. Full tracking, setup, and precision finding require an Apple device.

Apple AirTag is designed for Apple devices, but Android users can still scan one. If you find an AirTag, tap it to your phone (NFC must be on) to view its details in a browser. To detect unknown trackers, install the Tracker Detect app from Apple on Android. Full tracking and setup require an iPhone or iPad.

You can’t fully use an Apple AirTag with an Android device because it only pairs with Apple devices. However, Android users can install the Tracker Detect app to scan for nearby AirTags and receive alerts if an unknown AirTag is tracking them. You can also tap a found AirTag with an NFC-enabled Android phone to see its serial number and owner details (if provided). To track your own items, you’ll need an iPhone or consider an Android-compatible tracker instead.

To use AirTag with Android devices, download the Finder app from the Google Play Store. Open the app, tap 'Items', then 'Add' and select 'AirTag'. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your AirTag with your Android device. Once connected, you can use the AirTag to track its location on a map.
