What is 443 phone code and where is it used?

I recently saw the number 443 phone code and I’m a bit confused about what it represents. Is it an area code, country code, or something else? Can anyone explain where the 443 phone code is used and which location it belongs to? Also, how can I identify whether a call from this code is safe or spam?

• +44 = United Kingdom
• The extra 3 is just part of a UK number (usually non-geographic like business lines)

So, “+443” = +44 (UK) + number starting with 3

Hey , the 443 area code is used in Maryland, mostly around Baltimore - and its not a country code , so if you get a call from it, check if you actually recognise the number or have a look online - scammers can fake codes too
