What is trippin meaning in general conversation?

I keep seeing the word trippin used in texts, comments, and casual conversations, but the meaning seems to depend on context. Sometimes it sounds like someone is overreacting, other times it’s more literal. Can someone explain the trippin meaning and how people usually use it today?

Trippin in general conversation means:
Overreacting
Acting crazy or unreasonable
Confused or not making sense

Yeah, most of the time “trippin’” just means someone’s overreacting or thinking a bit wild, like “you’re trippin’.” I hear it used that way all the time online, though sometimes people use it literally for stumbling or feeling out of it.

In general conversation, “trippin” means overreacting, acting confused, or worrying unnecessarily. It can also suggest someone is mistaken or making a big deal out of something small. Example: “You’re trippin if you think that’s a problem.”
