I’m trying to limit my child’s access to social media apps on their iPhone, but I’m not sure of the best way to do it. Is there a built-in setting or do I need a third-party app? I’d appreciate a simple guide on how to block social media on an iPhone effectively.

"Hey there, fellow parents! I used to struggle with this too, but I found a simple solution. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and enable it. Then, go to Allowed Apps and block the social media apps you don't want them accessing. It's a lifesaver for our family!"

To block social media on iPhone, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. Enable the toggle, tap Store, Web, Siri & Game Center, then Apps. Set the age limit to 9+ or 12+ to hide most platforms, or use App Limits to set a 1-minute daily timer.

To block social media on an iPhone for parental control, use Screen Time settings:
  1. Go to Settings > Screen Time
  2. Tap Turn On Screen Time and set a passcode
  3. Select App Limits → Add Limit
  4. Choose Social Networking apps and set time limits (or 0 hours to block)
  5. You can also go to Content & Privacy Restrictions → enable it → restrict apps or websites

Parents can block social media on an iPhone using Screen Time. Go to Settings > Screen Time, enable it, and set a passcode. Use “App Limits” to restrict apps like Instagram or TikTok. Under “Content & Privacy Restrictions,” block app downloads or specific websites. You can also schedule “Downtime” to limit usage during study or sleep hours, ensuring safer, balanced device use for kids.

To block social media on an iPhone, go to Settings → Screen Time, turn it on, and set a passcode. Then use App Limits to restrict or block social apps, and enable Content & Privacy Restrictions to prevent access or downloads. You can also set Downtime to limit usage during certain hours for better control.

To block social media on an iPhone for parental control, use Apple’s built-in Screen Time feature. Go to Settings → Screen Time → App Limits, then select Social Networking apps and set a time limit (even 0 minutes to block access). You can also use Downtime to block apps during certain hours and turn on Content & Privacy Restrictions to prevent installing or deleting apps. For stronger control, set a Screen Time passcode so only parents can change the settings.
