My child uses Instagram a lot, and lately the app has been running slowly and taking up a lot of storage on the phone. I’ve heard that clearing the Instagram cache can help free up space and improve performance, but I’m not sure how to do it safely. Does clearing the cache delete login details, messages, or photos, or is it just temporary data?

Clearing Instagram cache helps fix lag and free storage. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → Instagram → Storage → tap “Clear Cache.” On iPhone, there’s no direct option—you’ll need to offload or reinstall the app from Settings. This removes temporary files without deleting your account data, improving app performance and fixing common glitches.

To clear Instagram cache, try these steps: - Uninstall and reinstall the app. - Clear your device's browser cache and data. - Use the 'Clear Cache' option in your device's settings. - Disable and re-enable the Instagram account on your device. - Check if your device's background data is enabled for the Instagram app.
