Is Yope safe to use?

I recently heard about Yope and it seems like a private app for sharing photos with close friends. But I’m wondering how safe it actually is, especially in terms of privacy and data collection. Does it really keep things private, or does it track user data? Also, is it suitable for kids or teenagers? If anyone has used it, please share your experience and whether it feels secure.

I've been using Yope for a while now and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with its privacy features. From what I've gathered, Yope does a good job of keeping your photos and data private, and it doesn't seem to track your activity like some other social media apps do. Of course, no app is completely foolproof, but I feel pretty secure using it. As for kids or teenagers, I think it's suitable for them, but like with any app, parents should still keep an eye on what their kids are doing online. I've had a good experience with Yope so far, and I'd recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a more private way to share photos with friends.

On Android to block social media, there are Digital Wellbeing, app blockers or parental control apps to prevent access and screen time.

Yope is generally safe to use, as it’s a private photo-sharing app designed for small friend groups with no public feed. However, it still collects personal data and may require access to contacts. Users should review privacy settings, avoid sharing sensitive content, and use it cautiously, especially for younger users.

Yope is generally safe to use, but with caution. It’s a private, friends-only photo-sharing app with no public feed, which improves privacy. However, it collects personal data like contacts and photos, and some reviews raise concerns about privacy and reliability. It’s suitable for teens (13+), but users should review permissions and use it carefully.

Yope is generally safe to use, especially since it’s designed for private, invite-only photo sharing with friends instead of public posts. However, it still collects personal data like contacts, photos, and usage activity, which may be shared with third parties. Some privacy risks and age concerns exist, so avoid sharing sensitive information and use it only with people you trust.

Yope is a private, friends-only photo sharing app, which means there’s no public feed and only invited people can see what you post, making it safer than typical social media. However, it still collects personal data (like photos and contacts) and may share some data with third parties, so privacy is a concern. Also, private groups can create a false sense of safety—people can still screenshot or share content, and features like streaks can pressure kids to post more.
