What is the emoji meaning and how should it be used in messages?

My child often sends messages filled with emojis, and sometimes I’m not sure what they actually mean. I know some emojis have different meanings depending on the context or who is using them. I’d like to better understand common emoji meanings so I can communicate with my child and recognise if something inappropriate is being shared.

Emoji meaning depends on context, but generally they add emotion, tone, or humor to messages. For example, 😊 shows friendliness, 😂 indicates laughter, and 👍 signals approval. Use emojis to make conversations clearer and more expressive, but avoid overusing them in formal chats. Always consider the situation and audience, as some emojis can have different meanings across cultures or age groups.

An emoji is a small digital icon used to express emotions, reactions, or ideas in messages. 😊 You can use emojis to add tone, make texts feel more friendly, or quickly show feelings like happiness 😂, love ❤️, or excitement 🎉—just avoid overusing them in formal conversations.

Emojis are visual symbols used to express emotions, tone, or ideas in text. They should be used to enhance clarity, avoid overuse, and match context to prevent misunderstandings.
