What is the Sora app and is it safe for kids to use?

I’ve been hearing about the Sora app and I’m not exactly sure what it is or what people use it for. From what I can tell, it’s an app that uses AI to create short videos from text prompts and images turning your words into realistic clips with sound and fun effects. It’s designed for creative use and people can share or remix videos they make. Since kids seem drawn to new social and creative tools, I’d like to know if parents should be concerned about kids using Sora — are there age restrictions, safety issues, or privacy settings parents should know about? Any tips or experiences would be helpful!

Sora is an AI that can produce realistic videos with text prompts and enable users to generate realistic scenes rapidly. Although it is novel, it can lead to misinformation, or misuse as a source of harmful material, according to experts. It contains few safety measures and has been deemed as high-risk to children. Parents ought to be mindful and control or monitor access by the younger users.
