I’m trying to figure out how to disable Private Browsing on iPhone so my child can’t use incognito mode in Safari. I want to make sure browsing history isn’t hidden, and that web activity can be monitored properly. Is there a way to disable Private Browsing on iPhone through Screen Time or parental control settings? If someone has done this before, could you share the exact steps? I’d really appreciate clear guidance.

Hi there, to disable private browsing on your iPhone, go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Then, toggle off 'Prevent Cross-Site Tracking' and 'Block All Cookies' in the same Safari settings. This should allow you to view your browsing history and track preferences.

To turn off the Private Browsing feature in an iPhone, selecting the Safari application, clicking the tabs button (two squares), and clicking the options of the iPhone as normal to turn the browsing back to the default mode. Tap on a normal tab group and then tap on Done. To turn off all of Private Browsing, in the Settings, Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions, Content Restrictions, Web Content, select Limit Adult Websites, and this will turn off Private mode.

Open Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → Content Restrictions → Web Content, then select Limit Adult Websites.

This removes the Private option in Safari. You can also exit Private mode directly in Safari by switching to regular tabs.

To disable Private Browsing on an iPhone, open Settings > Screen Time and turn on Screen Time if it’s not already enabled. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions, then Content Restrictions > Web Content. Choose Limit Adult Websites or Allowed Websites Only. This helps restrict Private Browsing in Safari and improves parental control.

The iPhone does not have a way to turn off Private Browsing, but to get it, open Settings and tap Screen Time. Toggle on Screen Time, in case it is not. Tap in Select Content & Privacy Restrictions and tap Content Restrictions Web Content. Select Limit Adult Websites or Limit Adult as well as Allowed Websites. This limits the Privacy Browsing feature of Safari and assists parents keep better track of the browsing history.

To disable private browsing on an iPhone, open Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions. Enable restrictions, then go to Content Restrictions → Web Content → Limit Adult Websites. This forces Safari to exit Private Browsing, so all browsing is tracked. For extra control, regularly check browser settings and educate your child about safe online behavior.

To disable Private Browsing on an iPhone, open Safari, tap the tabs button, and switch from Private to regular browsing. Parents can also restrict private browsing using Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → Web Content to limit access and improve online monitoring for kids.
