How to lock an Android App?

I’m trying to figure out how to lock an Android app so others can’t open it without permission. Is there a built-in feature that allows you to secure specific apps with a PIN, pattern, or fingerprint? Or do I need to use a third-party app for this? I’d appreciate a step-by-step explanation of the safest and easiest way to lock an app on Android.

Yeah, many Android phones have a built-in App Lock in Settings (usually under Security or Privacy)—just pick a PIN, pattern, or fingerprint; if your phone doesn’t have it, a trusted app-locker from the Play Store works fine too.

To lock an Android app, use built-in features like App Lock (available on some brands) or enable Screen Pinning in Settings > Security. You can also install trusted app-lock apps from the Play Store. Set a PIN, pattern, or fingerprint to prevent others from opening specific apps.

To lock an Android app, open Settings and look for App Lock (available on many phones like Samsung or Xiaomi). Enable it, choose the apps, and set a PIN, pattern, or fingerprint.

In order to lock an Android application, go to Settings and find App Lock (it is not available on all phones such as Samsung or Xiaomi). Turn it on, choose the apps and a PIN, pattern or fingerprint. In case of unavailability, get a reliable app locker on the Play Store and password protect it using a hard-to-crack password.
