Hello everyone, I’m setting up a phone filter for my child and want to make sure it’s safe to use. I’m specifically trying to configure a parental filter Android setup that can restrict harmful content, limit certain apps, and manage daily screen time. I’m not very technical, so simple and clear instructions would really help. If you’ve already done this on an Android device, could you share what worked best for you?

To set up parental filters on an Android device, open Google Family Link, create a child account, connect the child’s device, and manage screen time, app approvals, and content restrictions through the parent dashboard. You can also enable filters in Google Play Store settings.

To set up parental filters on an Android device, install Google Family Link on the parent’s and child’s phones. Create or link your child’s Google account, then manage app approvals, screen time limits, website filtering, and location tracking from the parent dashboard. You can also set content restrictions through Google Play settings for safer browsing and downloads.

  2. Turn on Parental controls and create a PIN.
  3. Set restrictions for apps, games, movies, and content ratings.
  4. Use Google Family Link to monitor and manage the child’s device remotely.

From the parent app, you can approve downloads, set screen-time limits, filter websites, track location, and manage app permissions for safer device use.
