How to Stop Safari from Opening Apps?

I’m trying to figure out how to stop Safari from opening apps automatically when I click certain links. It’s frustrating when links redirect straight to apps instead of staying in the browser. Is there a setting in Safari or iOS that controls this behavior? Does it depend on the type of link or the app itself? Looking for simple steps or tips to keep links opening in Safari only.

To stop Safari from opening apps, go to Settings → Safari, then turn off Open Links or Allow Apps to Open (if available). Also check Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → Allowed Apps and restrict specific apps. This helps keep links opening only in Safari instead of other apps.

To stop Safari from opening apps on iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Safari and turn off Open Links or Allow App Links (if available). You can also scroll down to Advanced and disable JavaScript for certain sites. Clearing Safari history and website data may help reduce automatic redirects.

To stop Safari from opening apps, go to Settings > Safari and turn off Open Links in Apps or Allow Apps to Open Links (depending on your iOS version). This keeps links opening in Safari instead of redirecting to other apps.
