What is Google Drive and how safe is it for storing personal files?

I’ve started using Google Drive to store photos, documents, and other files of my kids, but I’m not fully sure how secure it is. Does it offer enough privacy protection, and are there any risks I should be aware of? I’d also like to know if there are any settings or tips to make Google Drive safer, especially when sharing files with others. Any advice or experiences would be really helpful!

Google Drive is a cloud storage service allowing users to store and access files from any device with an internet connection. Files are encrypted and stored securely on Google's servers, with two-factor authentication and backup options available. Google adheres to strict data protection and privacy regulations, making it a safe choice for storing personal files, provided strong passwords and account security measures are in place.
