How to Turn Off Vanish Mode on Instagram?

I accidentally turned on vanish mode in Instagram DMs and now I’m not sure how to disable it. I know it’s supposed to make messages disappear after they’re seen, but I want to switch back to regular chat mode. Can someone explain the steps to turn off vanish mode, and any tips if the feature isn’t showing up or working as expected? It would be great to have a clear, step-by-step guide.

I was having trouble finding the vanish mode option on Instagram and I'm glad I finally found this thread to help me out. I was able to turn off vanish mode by going to the chat settings, which can be found by tapping the three dots at the top right corner of the chat and then selecting 'People' from the dropdown menu, then disable 'Vanish mode'.
